The New Haven: Home Features Cathedral Living Room

The Waukesha Freeman, November, 1989

PEWAUKEE- For $290,000 you can still buy the "New Haven" home, one of the homes in the parade of homes held last summer, according to David Rodrigues, from David & Goliath Builders Inc.

The home base price is $151,900, Rodrigues said.

The "New Haven" home in the Five Fields Subdivision in Pewaukee, is still open for viewing Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. or by appointment, according to Metropolitan Builders Association, one of the organizers of the Parade of Homes.

The "New Haven" home is 2,950 square-feet and some of its main features include an air-lock, stairway with balcony and a cathedral living room.

On the first floor there is a living room, foyer, air lock, porch, dining room, dinette, family room, powder room, mud room, utility room and garage.

David & Goliath Builders Inc., of Waukesha, describes the lower floor as having a "dramatic fieldstone fireplace [which] rises 18 feet into the spacious living room's cathedral ceiling to accent the 9 foot windows surrounding this unique country living area."

To the right of the living room is the dining room, which is adjacent to the kitchen and the dinette.

The gourmet kitchen features solid oak cabinetry, counter cooktop, preparation island, pantry, desk and other modern conveniences. Overlooking the dinette is a family room, powder room, mud room and laundry area, all "designed to accommodate practical family living," according to the builder.

Featured on the second story are three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

David & Goliath says of the master bedroom, "The large master bedroom suite features an elegant ceramic master bathroom with whirlpool tub, large shower, his and her vanities and closets."

For an appointment to see the "New Haven" home call realtor Bob Sneider at 538-1171. David & Goliath Builders Inc. can be contacted at P.O. Box 296, Waukesha, Wis. 53187-0296
