The Metropolitan Builders Association installed David Rodrigues of David & Goliath Builders as its 62 nd president on November 19 at The Wisconsin Club in Milwaukee. Since joining the Association in 1988, Rodrigues has served as chairman of the Mediation Subcommittee, the Construction Arbitration Board, the Ethics Committee, the Education Committee, the Parade of Homes Committee, and the Parade Site Selection Committee. In 2002, he co-chaired the Membership Committee and he is currently chairing the Public Relations Committee. Furthermore, this year Rodrigues is serving on the Board for the MBA, Wisconsin Builders Association (WBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Rodrigues is excited about his role as President, “It is very exciting to be able to lead one of the most influential trade associations in the state. I want to have a positive impact on the Association.” The other officers being installed at tonight’s ceremony include Craig Rakowski of James Craig Builders as President-Elect, Pete Feichtmeier of Colby Construction Co as Treasurer and Bruce Johnson of BDC Building Design & Construction as Secretary. In addition, three new Board members have been elected to serve three-year terms. The new Board members are Timothy O’Brien of William Ryan Homes, Ann Rodrigues of David & Goliath Builders, Inc. and Fred Stier of Stier Construction. O’Brien, Rodrigues and Stier will join current Board members Shelly Basso, Aspen Homes; John Siepmann, Siepmann Realty; Joseph Wendleberger, J. Anthony Construction; Mark Benkowski, Custom Design Associates; Robert Flanagan, The Flanagan Co.; and Mike Kaerek, Kaerek Homes. Joyce Gagliano of US Title Insurance Company, was installed this evening as Chairwoman of the Associate Advisory Board. Gagliano, who joined the MBA in 1988, has served on a variety of committees including the Membership Committee, the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. She was honored with the “Associate of the Year” Award in 1997. The new members of the Associate Advisory Board are Rob Bultman of McNally, Maloney & Peterson, S.C., Raena Schmidt of Raena, Paul Price of Best Price Plumbing, Inc., Jim Rugg of Eagle Electric Wiring Service, Mark Cohn of Link Communications & Cabling, Amy Schraufnagel of Super Excavators, Inc and Super Western, Inc., Joe Wendelberger of J. Anthony Construction, Inc., Barbara Kratz of St. Francis Bank, Christine Howard-Turowski of Priority Mortgage Corporation, Linda Heipp of Hallmark Building Supplies, Inc., Dave Molenda of Weather-Tek Design Center, Len Riebau of Riebau’s Cabinets.
